My apologies to folks who want to see lots of pictures, but I'm a bit
reluctant to put up detailed pictures. The 47D is a unique car,
and I wish it to remain unique. I don't wish to help
people who might use the photos to make replicas of the 47D.
I will put up more pictures, when I find the time to sort through them.
Despite being 30 years-old the body was in good shape. So minimal fiberglass work was needed.
The original paint for the 47D was a metallic blue/green colour (if view from one angle it looks blue, another it looks green). Later it was painted British Racing Green (BRG). A thorough search of the Heritage Motor Centre archives failed to turn up a standard production car colour that matched the descriptions of the car. So the original paint formula was probably a custom formula. Fortunately, a small sample of the original paint was found on the inside of one of the doors. So the body was repainted to match the original colour.
